With our Business Administration degree you get to explore the many aspects of running an organisation, company and department. You develop your insights into people and processes and how the two aspects intertwine to make a business work. The degree develops your skills in identifying those areas that function well in an organisation and the areas in which difficulties and bottlenecks lie. What Business administration offers
Wherever your interest in business lies, whether it’s finance, economics, organisational behaviour or marketing, the Business Administration programme prepares you to be a manager and leader within an organisation. You can expect a very hands-on approach with workshops and practical challenges giving you a true experience of the business world as you research and analyse problems and processes and turn your ideas into solid advice.
Business Administration in practice
You work on assignments from real companies in each year of the course, collaborating in small groups and drawing on the skills and experience of lecturers and professionals in business. This method of working (Design-Based Education) means you learn to draw on feedback to adapt your ideas and become more flexible, while also developing your teamwork and leadership skills. It means you get hands-on experience of what it’s like to research and understand a company’s business and processes, develop solutions based on marketing, finance or human resource principles and writing, for instance, satisfaction surveys, problem analyses and advisory reports.
Gain international experience
Studying business administration at NHL Stenden means combining organisational insights with intercultural skills so that graduates have the strong sense of the business and personal aspects of today’s worldwide markets. Our participation in RUN-EU means you can join Short Advanced Programmes and carry out projects with partner institutions in Europe. You can also go to one of the NHL Stenden’s Grand Tour locations in South Africa, Bali or Thailand in your third year. Or you can go on an exchange to a partner institution and delve into a totally new way of studying.
