Taster Day ITEps

We are excited and we are really looking forward to welcoming you on our campus in Meppel! If you enjoy working with young people, love adventure and are open to new cultures, teaching abroad may suit you. International Teacher Education for Primary Schools (ITEps) is the only bachelor programme designed in the Netherlands.

The College Campus is about a 15-20 minutes’ walk from the main building. The students will show you the way.

Main building / canteen

  • Welcome and overall information about the ITEps course / questions and answers session / today’s program – 45 minutes
  • Workshops:  Educational Studies (Margaretha) / Mathematics (Douwe Jan) - 45 minutes

Design Factory / stage

  • Welcome and information about year 1 and 2 program and the main subjects (English as an International Language Global Citizenship, Mathematics, Educational studies and Research) – 30 minutes
  • Workshop: Design-Based Education - 60 minutes

College Campus Meppel

  • Welcome and information about, the year 3 and 4 program including the electives (Intercultural Understanding & Religion, Arts & Culture, Inclusive Education, Early Childhood Education, History & Social Geography and Science & Technology), the bachelor thesis and final teaching practice / brief tour Blankenstein campus – 45 minutes
  • Workshops: Science & Technology / IUR - 45 minutes
