Short Lectures
Kick off DBE in Life Science & Technology
Starting from September 2023, the programmes of Life Sciences & Technology Leeuwarden will also introduce the DBE concept. With this lecture, we will show who we are and the great things we are doing in education. We would like to invite everyone to engage in a dialogue with us to get further acquainted and explore collaborations.
Applied Mathematics & Data Science
Mathematics plays an important role in many organisations, such as insurance companies, hospitals, software companies, commerce and infrastructure. Almost everyone notices its effects, but few people know how important mathematical models are for business operations. This lecture will discuss several examples of the use of mathematics. We will also mention mathematical models, methods and algorithms that are often used, including by our students.
The added value of Industrial Engineering & Management
Many companies are looking for ways to produce faster, cheaper and better through innovation. During this lecture, we will show how students from the Industrial Engineering & Management programme can contribute to this.
Space for the pedestrian
During this lecture, the Spatial Development programme takes you into the world of pedestrians' experiences and puts them at the centre of design. Based on an assignment in the minor 'Traffic and environmental psychology in public space', we explain this.
