The purpose of this course is to give the prospective Dynamic Position Operator reduction in sea time. The period of supervised DP sea time days after the simulator course may be reduced by the satisfactory completion of an intensive DP simulator training course.

After completion of the DP Simulator or Advanced Course, this course can be attended. This course will be valid for 30 or 42 DP Sea Days (depending on the Offshore Scheme).
Please bear in mind that the last 30 days of required DP Seatime need to be fulfilled on board on a vessel.

You will work with practical scenarios based on real operations. Furthermore, you will train on planning and executing specified operations under varying simulated conditions. During the operations, you will face typical DP failure modes. This course also focuses on communication with field control, other vessels, and the different departments onboard.
