The Ik Ben Drents Ondernemer programme (‘I’m an entrepreneur in Drenthe’) was launched by the province of Drenthe as a means of supporting small & medium-sized businesses in Drenthe and so contribute towards employment. The province works with various partners in providing webinars, workshops, consultancy and subsidy schemes. As of 8 February, we, NHL Stenden, are also a partner, along with all 12 municipalities in Drenthe, the municipality of Hardenberg, Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, Drenthe College, Alfa College and the Dutch employers’ organizations VNO-NCW/MKB Noord.

Contributing to economic strength

“As an entrepreneurial educational institute, we train entrepreneurs in all possible directions, and in so doing contribute to the economic strengthening of different regions in Drenthe,” explains Marc Otto.

Even better support for entrepreneurs

Thanks to a wider base of collaborating entrepreneurs, knowledge institutes and authorities, entrepreneurs in Drenthe will receive even better support. The pooling of activities, knowledge and consultancy has already resulted in a single, joint point of contact that the entrepreneur can go to for help. With the aid of additional partners, even more smart and innovative solutions to current issues can be called upon, such as digitalisation, impact entrepreneurship and the transition to a green economy.
