The possibilities for carrying out tests in our buildings remains limited, so we have a number of digital alternatives in place. We have various online test environments and applications such as Blackboard, Quayn, Mobius and Teams.  Exams will mainly take place using Quayn while other tests, such as assignments, presentations, assessments and tests with open questions) will use Blackboard, Mobius or Teams. We will also use the programme Proctorexam, enabling us to provide remote exam invigilation.

Testing will be different for each study programme so your course and the Test Logistics department will send you more information. The guides below can help you prepare for taking tests using Quayn and Proctorexam.

Please note: in order to use Proctorexam, you need to have the latest version of Chrome web browser. You can download it from https://www.google.com/intl/nl/chrome/.

Digital Surveillance

Are you going to take a test that involves online surveillance with ProctorExam? Then you will receive more information from your study programme about the procedure and how to prepare yourself. Below you can find a summary of out how digital surveillance will take place.

  • You will receive an invitation from ProctorExam on your email address. This email serves to prepare your computer for the test. This includes a system check of your webcam, sound, WiFi, screen and the installation (if necessary) of Google Chrome on your pc/laptop. Do this system check within one business day of the date of your test. Do the check at the location you will take your test and on the device you will take your test. If there are any technical issues, there will be sufficient time to solve these.
Pay extra attention to the following: for each test you will receive a separate link. You will have to do the system check for every test.
  • We would like to ask you to be ready and seated at your computer at least 15 minutes before the start of the test. Your workplace needs to be arranged as a desk would be at an exam location. Make sure there are no objects on or around your desk, no visitors in the room, no headphones, etc, and that you have your ID card on hand.
  • If necessary, you can ask questions in the chat box. This chat box can be found on the bottom right of your screen within the program. Questions about the content of the test are not allowed.
  • Through video and sound recordings, we are able to judge if testing has been done in line with the regulations. This review is done by registered supervisors who analyse the footage after the test.
  • After your test is marked, all footage will be deleted for your privacy.
