If you want to register to start a study programme at a time other than that given by the programme as intake date and you do not fall into one of the two categories previously described (switching studies or exceptional personal circumstances), then the following category may possibly apply.

This category covers situations in which the relevant rules and regulations could lead to considerable unreasonableness.

Example 1:

A student transfers to a research university after passing the propaedeutic phase but decides after a month that it wasn’t the right choice and wants to return to their old study programme at our university of applied sciences. It would then be unreasonable to make this student wait until the September of the following academic year.

Example 2:

A student has only one component to complete before graduation but that component can only be done in May. It would be unreasonable for this student to have to register for a full academic year because of this one component.

If you think you are in a situation that leads to considerable unreasonableness then please complete the form below and send it to csa@nhlstenden.com. Please also enclose an explanation of why you think waiting until the new academic year would be unreasonable.

The Central Student Administration (CSA) will assess your request and, if applicable, contact the programme to determine if granting your request could lead to impossible educational situations. You will then receive a positive or negative response to your request. If the response is positive, CSA will let you know what you need to do in order to complete your registration.

The situation described above is mainly applicable for study programmes that start in September only.
