
Jurjen Kingma is a researcher at the Frisian and Multilingualism professorship and focuses on Frisian reading tests for primary and secondary schools.
Drs. Jurjen Kingma (1989) studied Applied Linguistics in Groningen. At the Fryske Akademy he carried out research in 2013 into the learning results of Multilingual Secondary Education (Meertalig Voortgezet Onderwijs, MVO), for which he developed a Frisian reading test in collaboration with the Groningen test company Diataal of Dr. Hilde Hacquebord.
Since May 2014, Jurjen has been working as a junior researcher for the Frisian Multilingualism professorship. In the period 2014-2016, he worked on Frisian reading tests for the upper classes of primary schools and lower classes of secondary schools. He does this as part of the Evaluation System for Frisian (ESF), in partnership with the Afûk, Cedin and the Language Use and Learning professorship of the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences.
