Erik Prins is attached as lawyer to the Cybersafety professorship of NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences.

After graduating in Law at the University of Groningen, Erik Prins practised law as an attorney for a number of years. Since 1988, he has worked at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences as a lecturer in Law (criminal law, administrative law and European law).

Since 2011, Erik has been a coordinator of the Minor Internet and Law in which he carries out legal research for national clients in the area of cybercrime. He also tutors students in European legal research, for example in Data Protection in the European Union.
