Ran Zhang obtained his BBA in International Hospitality Management in 2002 and an MA in International Leisure and Tourism Studies in 2004. He has been teaching research at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences’ School of Hotel Management since 2008.

His main interest is in Social Psychology, particularly the issue of social influencing, and his PhD research at Groningen University focuses on dyadic relationships between leaders and followers in organizations. He is researching the upward influence of processes in the hotel industry, namely how hotel employees use their voice to influence their managers’ behavior.
