Who are we looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic, analytical and creative colleague with experience in the field of (international) Finance and Accounting preferably within a hospitality focused organisation. You have a teaching qualification, familiar with Design Based Education and Learning (or prepared to obtain training/certification in these areas). Furthermore you would like to develop as an atelier facilitator. An Atelier session consists of 25 students and the facilitator, working on real (design) challenges from the industry as well as situated in real-life environment of the student/learner, using design thinking process in an iterative manner, the facilitator as process observer who supports and makes learner-oriented interventions (focusing on the group process), students have ownership and control over the learning process. As a facilitator you will be guiding the group in reaching learning outcomes by means of working on design challenges. You have at least a Master's degree.
Where will you be working Stenden Hotel Management School (Stenden HMS) is an international institute with approximately 3100 students and over 115 employees. The academy offers 'real world', internationally oriented educational programmes, designed to prepare students for operational and management positions in the hospitality industry, and other service-related companies. Stenden HMS programmes are delivered at national and international branch campuses.
What will you be doing:
· Student Coaching
· Facilitating sessions in Design Based Education
· Conducting workshops and expert sessions on a range of subjects such as finance, accounting, hotel real estate & investments etc.
· Developing new teaching materials and approaches
· Co-ordination and organization
We offer
Suitably qualified applicants will be considered for the position of lecturer researcher B.
This position is at pay scale 11 (max €5026.85 gross per month), depending on relevant experience, based on a full-time employment, excluding 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus).
The function is initially for the rest of this academic year, so till 31th August 2021.
Start date: 1st April 2021
