  • Do you like to play (board)games?

    On Tuesday afternoon, September 24, starting at 2 p.m., we will have the soda cold and the cookies ready at NHL Stenden library in Leeuwarden. During this cozy afternoon, you are welcome to enjoy various board games, from classics like Scrabble to modern favorites like ‘Regenwormen’! Compete with friends, fellow students or new acquaintances while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the library. 

  • Fine-free week: Save money!

    From 17- 21 June, we will have a fine-free week, during which everyone can return their books without paying (old) fines. That way, you'll have some money left over for your holiday :)

  • XpertHR is now Brightmine

    Brightmine (formerly XpertHR) is a Dutch database of NHL Stenden Library with up-to-date, practical information on all aspects of the field of human resources.

  • 26-28 April: Catalogue offline due to maintenance

    From 11 p.m. Friday 26 April to 8 a.m. Saturday 27 April and possibly from 11 p.m. Saturday 27 April to 8 a.m. Sunday 28 April, maintenance will take place on the network of our supplier, OCLC. As a result, the NHL Stenden Library OPC catalogue and corresponding borrower data will be temporarily unavailable. You will be unable to search for, renew and/or reserve books online between these times.

  • Malfunction reminder e-mails

    There is currently a bug in our library software program. As a result, you may have mistakenly received emails on 5/4/2024 telling you to return books. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Merging Libraries NHL Stenden Leeuwarden

    The Leeuwarden Library on Rengerslaan 10 will move to the Library on Rengerslaan 8, as there is more space on Rengerslaan 8 for the collection of books and study places
