FOLIO our new library system!

We are excited to announce that as of December 16th we will start working with our new library system: FOLIO!

What is FOLIO?

FOLIO (The Future Of Libraries Is OPEN) is an innovative, open source library system that combines flexibility with user-friendliness. We are the first university of applied sciences to start using FOLIO in the Netherlands. After all, we are Originals.

What does this mean for me?  
We have a new catalogue with the following improvements:

  • you can now log in using your NHL Stenden email address and corresponding password;
  • a fresh new interface with lots of search options;
  • many titles are accompanied by pictures of the covers – and more will be added soon;
  • you can find more information on the Borrowing, renewing and reserving webpage.

We understand that this will take some getting used to; after all, it is a completely new system. Things may not go as smoothly as we would like. Do you have a question or run into a problem? Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
