Due to the fact-checking marathon, access to the NHL Stenden library in Leeuwarden will be limited.

Are you about to complete your bachelor's degree and unsure about continuing your studies? Or are you already working and want to specialise?

Would you like to study on a Saturday?

Did you know  you can borrow books for free at many libraries in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe? 

The book sale organised by the NHL Stenden library in December to raise funds for Familiediner van Stichting Sta op voor Kinderen proved to be a great success.

Due to weather conditions, the NHL Stenden libraries in Emmen, Groningen, Meppel and Leeuwarden are on Monday 12 January 2026 open from 10:30 a.m.

Terschelling is open according to regular opening hours. 

Due to weather conditions, the NHL Stenden libraries at all locations will be closed on Friday 9 January 2026. Unfortunately, we will not be available by telephone, but we can be reached by email.

Due to weather conditions, the NHL Stenden libraries in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Meppel will be closed on Wednesday 7 January 2026. Unfortunately, we will not be available by telephone, but we can be reached by email.

Terschelling is open according to regular opening hours and Emmen closes at 12 pm.

Will you be attending the book sale from 2 to 4 December at the NHL Stenden Library in Leeuwarden?

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, November 4), you can find us in the central hall of R10 until the Christmas break!
We’ll be there every Tuesday from 3 - 4 PM and every Thursday from 11 AM - 12 PM.
