NHL Stenden Library has a lot to offer online, including a diverse range of high-quality, reliable information. It has licenses for various databases and offers access to eBooks. The online library is accessible 24/7 to every student and staff member.
What are databases?
Databases contain professional information. This includes statistics, technical standards, case law, company information, articles from national and international newspapers, and academic articles. NHL Stenden Library provides access to these databases to meet the needs of students and staff members.
In consultation with the academy directors, access to the following databases has been cancelled as of 31 December 2024:
- Afval Online
- Coachlink
- Het Financieele Dagblad
- Oxford English Dictionary
- Retriever
- SWOCC Bibliotheek
- Van Dale Woordenboeken
More databases will be critically reviewed in the course of the year. In each case, the expiry date, if any, will be stated for the database in question.
The decision to cancel these databases has been carefully considered and taken in consultation with the relevant academy directors. If you have any questions about this, please contact your academy’s information specialist, who will also be able to help you request the desired articles/data elsewhere.
