Would you like to become more competent in searching, finding and using relevant and reliable sources of information for your assignment and/or to create professional products? The library offers various products and services for students and teaching staff to improve their information literacy skills!

For students

• Information literacy skills and DBE poster
  This poster asks helpful questions to get you thinking about each stage of the DBE process.
• Information literacy skills workshops
  Are you struggling to find specific information related to your research or assignment? Or do you find so much information that you can't see the wood for the trees?  Are you unsure how to tell whether a source is reliable or how to cite sources? You can aks all of your questions on these topics in the Effective use of information and Referencing according to APA workshops.
• Coming Clean game 
  Dive into the exciting world of Coming Clean, where learning is an adventure! In this interactive game, you will learn the art of goal-oriented searching and strengthen your critical thinking skills.

• Make an appointment
  Do you have more questions? If so, make an appointment with an information specialist to discuss desk research or source citation.
  • For example, receive help or advice on setting up a search strategy, finding relevant sources, reviewing sources and citing sources correctly (APA). 
  • Note: the information specialist will not find your sources for you or correct your entire bibliography.
