Event Management 2 (Thailand)

Organise an event for a real client

In this course, you put your knowledge of event management to practice. You will organise a real-life event in cooperation with experts from the local MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) industry.

There are a variety of different events to choose from, so the minor will start-off with a bid presentation. This is where you and your group get the chance to convince the client to accept your bid. After you have been assigned to an event, you and your group will work on organising this particular event throughout the complete module. You will do this in close contact with the (external) client and the CEO (the Stenden tutor who will support the process).

  • Engage in a bustling Asian MICE business with its heart in Bangkok.
  • Gain valuable knowledge of the international events industry and its global trends and various challenges.
  • Develop your interpersonal skills, management skills and financial insight on a high level.
  • Receive lessons from experienced specialists from the MICE industry.

This minor is worth 15 ECTS credits and is offered in English in Qatar. Assessment occurs throughout the process during weekly client/coach meetings. The minor concludes with a portfolio, including an initiative report, the project plan, and the event script. The completed work will be presented in week 9.
