Sustainable NHL Stenden

Sustainability plays an important part in everything our university of applied sciences does. That is why you encounter it everywhere. From sustainable education that trains students to tackle wicked problems to professorships of applied sciences that make a visible impact. And from solar panels on our roofs to the zero food waste policy at our Terschelling location.

Sustainable Research

NHL Stenden has a strong profile with focus on three social issues. With over 40 Professorships, we research how we can contribute to a smarter and more sustainable future. The professorships are supported by students, who are involved to learn from and with each other in a project setting.
