The pursuit of peace is an ongoing process, and development through tourism is more crucial than ever. It can play a significant role in promoting peace and understanding between countries and cultures, and in supporting reconciliation.
The symposium consists of various events for which you must register separately. Events will be held online and on the campus of NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Admission is free, but registration is required.

A panel discussion explores the themes of the symposium covering topics such as the ‘roles of museums through remembrance’, ‘forms and practices of spiritual tourism’ and ‘hospitality in an era of conflicts and violence’. Panelists include Dr Jaeyeon Choe (Glasgow Caledonian University), Dr Sarike van Slooten (European Tourism Futures Institute) and Latifa Benhadda (Hotel Management School Leeuwarden).
