Thorbecke Conference 2025: Street-level democracy: resilience in a polarising society

Thorbecke Academy cordially invites you to our annual Thorbecke Conference. Thorbecke Academy, part of NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, provides education in the fields of Law, Public Administration and Security. 

This year's theme is Street-level democracy: resilience in a polarising society. We will explore some of the main issues to our traditional understanding of 'democracy’. It will attempt to define current challenges from legal, governmental and security perspectives and propose solutions, or routes to solutions from these challenges.

Participation is free, but registration is required. For those who don´t master the Dutch language, translation devices will be available.
