Hotello of the year in 2017, Linda Giebing was the youngest female to take on a position as General Manager for Hilton in Asia-Pacific. She’s a champion for diversity and inclusivity within her workforce and in the community around the hotel.

Be inspired by possibilities and challenge your thought process

We have to be agile to adapt to constantly changing circumstances. Working in other cultures, countries and with other languages has taught me the value of diversity in all its forms. The best ideas come from many different people building on each other’s thoughts and creating opportunities. These help you challenge the status quo and make changes. Like the deliberate effort we did to create employment for people who are differently abled. The obstacles that first stood got replaced by opportunities, such as learning sign language and having a really good pastry chef de partie – and it changed perspectives.

Become a game changer

My passion is to create a positive impact – on guests, team members and the community. I believe in creating equal opportunities and serving the community, as well as taking responsibility for driving sustainable practices to support the environment of the region we operate in.
