The world is constantly changing and the challenges we face are becoming increasingly complex. Climate change, energy transitions, digitalisation, geopolitical developments and social inequalities can create new risks and increase existing vulnerabilities. At the same time, organisations, communities, businesses and critical systems are becoming increasingly interconnected and dependent on one another.
Being prepared for future disruptions requires more than simply responding when something goes wrong. It requires understanding risks, identifying vulnerabilities, recognising dependencies and knowing where resilience can be strengthened.
In this minor, you will learn how to analyse risk and resilience and turn data into practical strategies. You will develop your own toolkit to assess how resilient a system, organisation or community is – and determine what can be done to make it stronger. You will also work on a community-based group project. During this module you get skills in using AI as a tool i.e. in collecting and processing data.
