Artificial Intelligence is changing the way we create, communicate, work and innovate. But how can we use AI in ways that are creative, responsible and genuinely valuable to people?

During Creative AI in Bali, you will explore the opportunities and challenges of AI while working on real-world projects in one of the world's most dynamic international environments. Together with students from different disciplines, you will experiment with emerging AI technologies and develop practical solutions to help local organisations, entrepreneurs and creative hubs maintain their business sustainability amidst the rapid emergence of AI.

Bali becomes your living laboratory: a unique destination to explore how technology, creativity, culture and human experience come together.

Minor content

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming professional practice. Designers use AI to develop ideas and prototypes, marketers create new forms of communication, businesses automate workflows, and organisations are discovering entirely new ways to serve their customers.
But using AI effectively requires more than knowing how to operate the latest tools.

During Creative AI in Bali, you will learn how to combine human creativity, critical thinking and emerging technology. You will explore AI through hands-on experimentation and apply what you learn to authentic challenges provided by organisations in Bali.

The minor is interdisciplinary. Students from different backgrounds work together and contribute their own professional perspectives. This allows you to learn not only from AI, but also from each other.

Throughout the program, you will consider important questions about ethics, cultural context, sustainability and the responsible use of technology. The aim is not simply to become better at using AI, but to learn when, why and how AI can create meaningful value.

Structure of the minor

During the first part of the minor, you will experiment with contemporary AI tools and workflows for areas such as research, ideation, content creation, communication, design and automation.

You will explore different ways of collaborating with AI and learn how to critically assess AI-generated results. Through workshops, small assignments and experimentation, you will gradually develop your own way of working with AI.
The focus is not on mastering one particular platform. AI technology develops rapidly, so you will learn principles and working methods that help you adapt to new tools throughout your future career.

Field trips, guest lectures and encounters with local professionals provide insight into the opportunities and challenges organisations face when adopting AI.
At the same time, you will examine broader questions surrounding responsible AI. How do we deal with bias, privacy and transparency? What happens when technology meets a different cultural context? And how can we make sure that AI supports people rather than simply replacing existing processes?

Instead of visiting large technology corporations, you will discover how local businesses and organisations can use rapidly developing AI technologies in practical ways. This could mean improving the customer experience, creating smarter communication, supporting creative processes, automating repetitive work or developing entirely new services.
In this way, Bali is not simply the location where you study AI. Bali is an essential part of what you learn.
