All you need is a business idea and then make it come to life by creating a website or app to support its launch and a strategy to grow online.

Minor content
Develop a business idea into a viable digital product (e.g. mobile application or website):
- Network, learn from other entrepreneurs’ successes and failures and create a long-term growth strategy
- Apply UX/UI skills and user feedback to create a fully functioning digital product
- Design a digital plan to monetize your business using a variety of online platforms (Search engines, Social Media, online stores….)
- Use photography and videography skills to create engaging online campaign
- Experiment how to integrate AI to simplify your business operations
This minor is offered by Entrepreneurship and Retail Management.
Structure of the minor
This is not another course to teach you how to write a business plan. Consider this minor as a mini-incubator to turn a business idea into a revenue stream.
Unit 1: CREATE
- Product development: create low-fidelity then high-fidelity prototypes, and a live version of your website or app;
- Multimedia campaigns curation: Learn to shoot photography and video campaigns using your phone / a drone and use video editing software's to make them engaging.
Unit 2: ADAPT - Testing journey: Use the latest tools such as Analytics, Heatmaps and user research to improve the user experience;
- Campaign management: Spend a budget on the right channels (AdWords, Social Media...) to maximize your revenue.
Unit 3: RISK - Growth strategy: Learn new tools (AI, Data) and techniques (Blue Ocean) to have a long-term strategy for your brand;
- Networking: Learn from our guest speakers, visit creative spaces and our industry partners. Attend events to become inspired.
Study features
Personal portfolio, including:
- The digital product (app or website) designed by the student which will be assessed in terms of viability and user experience;
- Multimedia online campaigns and strategy supporting the launch of the product assessed on relevance of the creatives and the channels chosen.
Individual research portfolio: you will document your customer research journey and show evidence of how user feedback impacted the design of your product.
Personal pitch presentation: you will collect artefacts and document the events attended, contacts you made, what you have learnt from entrepreneurs and explain the personal long-term vision you have for your company.
This minor is offered by Entrepreneurship and Retail Management and is open to all students of NHL Stenden, regardless of their study program.
Digital Entrepreneurship is aimed at students who consider launching their own business and are interested in using the latest technologies. Although it is not an entry requirement, you will get the most of this course if you already have an idea for a business as you can use this minor as an incubator to develop it.
