This minor will start from the 2027-2028 academic year.
Spend nine weeks in Aruba tackling a real challenge for a local organization. As part of the Small Island Solutions minor (Grand Tour, 15 EC), you collaborate with local and international students to create sustainable value for businesses and the island community.
Minor content
Through practical field research, you uncover genuine customer needs, design and validate a viable solution, and deliver your final recommendations directly to the client. Throughout the program, you gain insight into how businesses scale sustainably within a small island economy, identify emerging market trends, build strong stakeholder trust, and pitch your ideas with authority. Just as important is how you grow as a person: working in a new culture and a diverse team, you develop your personal and entrepreneurial skills, learning to understand yourself and others, handle pressure and lead with confidence.
