From finalist to winner! Jean Auguste wins Talent of the Year Award 2023!
First-year student Jean Auguste has been named Talent of the Year! The award is presented annually at the Future Hotello Event, which precedes the HotelloTop Year Event which this year took place on 11 January 2023. The award goes to a student or recent Hotello graduate who has performed exceptionally in the past year. Among other things, the nominees had to pitch in front of their own school as well as a renowned professional jury. Jean Auguste has owned Abientoo Coffee since 2020 and focuses on responsible coffee consumption by selling refurbished quality coffee machines. His authentic and entrepreneurial nature stood out and earned him the win. He may call himself Talent of the Year for a full year.
Lynn Woltjes wins NXT GM Challenge 2023!
Another winner! Alumna Lynn Woltjes won the fifth edition of the NXT GM Challenge! She will be working for a year as General Manager of NH Schiller and NH Caransa in the city center of Amsterdam, with top notch support from experienced industry professionals. Lynn graduated from Hotel Management School NHL Stenden in 2020 and runs her own online marketing agency: ‘Marketing by Lynn’. She has also worked in the hotel industry for a long time, including Karel V in Utrecht and, after graduating, as a transition manager at facility services provider CSU. The NXT GM Challenge is organized by HotelloTOP and NH Hotel Group Part of Minor. Together they give young hospitality talent a platform to develop and challenge themselves both personally and professionally. The NXT GM title is annually awarded during the HotelloTop Year Event in January.
