Thursday 29 September 2022 student Angelika Movsesian won the FGD Prize for best student of the Finance, Tax & Advice study programme at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Angelika stood out for her professionalism and her drive to develop further. ''I am pleasantly surprised to have won this award. For me, it is a validation that I am doing a good job!'' said Angelika. She wins a cash prize of €1.000,-.

Real go-getter
According to the jury, Angelika is a rolmodel for the study programme. She is committed and contributed greatly to raising the programme's profile. For instance, she was often present during open days to share her experiences. But above all, Angelika is a real go-getter. She started in secondary school at secondary vocational education and then moved on to vocational education and training and higher vocational education. ''I am thinking of doing another master's, especially now that I am totally in the right flow of studying. This will be a master's in banking because that's really my thing,'' Angelika says. The latter is also reflected in the words of the judges who label her as a real hostess in the banking world.

Vital region
NHL Stenden and FGD Assurantiën have been working together for some time to challenge starters from the Finance, Tax & Advice study programme to make a further contribution to the vital region. ''The award is a nice recommendation and I am convinced it will help you further in your career as a student,'' said study supervisor Thea Holwerda.

About the FGD Prize
The presentation of the FGD Prize took place for the second time at Landgoed Oranjewoud. The FGD Prize is a continuation of the Piet van de Goot Prize which was awarded in times of Friesland Bank Assurantiën as a tribute to the late Piet Van der Goot, as managing director of Friesland Bank Assurantiën. This year's award was presented by Mrs Van der Goot, who was present alongside family members, friends, fellow students and representatives of NHL Stenden and FGD, along with her daughters.

Besides Angelika, Monique van der Wal and Renee Solle also competed for the FGD Prize. They both won a cash prize of €300,-.
