NHL Stenden ranks fourth in the Keuzegids hbo 2023 just like last year. The position is shared with Fontys University of Applied Sciences and Leiden University of Applied Sciences. For NHL Stenden, it is the fifth top-four ranking in five years since the merger in 2018. In the Keuzegids hbo 2023 NHL Stenden receives "especially high praise for its teacher training programmes".
Top four position for the fifth year in a row
Erica Schaper, chairperson of the NHL Stenden Board: "This result confirms that, as a university of applied sciences, we are structurally among the top in the Netherlands. In the top four for the fifth year in a row: we can all be very proud of that. But at the same time, we want more. The Keuzegids - and therefore our students - show us what we do well and what we can do better. We work on that every day."
Seventeen top programmes
Programmes rated as best in the Netherlands by the Keuzegids receive the designation “top programme” and the corresponding quality seal. This applies to no fewer than seventeen NHL Stenden studies:

Best study by subject area
A number of studies that the Keuzegids hbo 2023 just missed out on being named a top study programme, but did identify as the best study programme in their own field. Among others: the bachelor programmes Law; Public Administration; Mathematical Engineering and Finance, Tax and Advice.
