The ranking is presented as a medal table. The medal table shows the number of awarded medals per institution: a gold medal for three years above average, silver for two years and bronze for one year of above average student satisfaction. Method
In previous years Elsevier Magazine used data from the National Student Survey (NSS), but these data are not available from NSS 2019. This year’s ranking is based on a trend analysis of multiple years. A medal is awarded when a programme has a student satisfaction score above average during the past three years and has a high number of satisfied students within its sector.
