Students face important challenges at RUN-EU students week in Häameenlinna, Finland

NHL Stenden is part of the Regional University Network – European University (RUN-EU). The second RUN-EU General Assembly (GA) and Students Week will be held in Finland, at the Häme University of Applied Sciences, between 7 and 11 November 2022.

The GA is a strategic governing body that acts as a senate for the alliance. It meets once a year to discuss ways to improve cooperation between the seven higher education member institutions and associated partners to achieve the goals of RUN-EU and cooperate towards the development of the associated regions.The GA enables students, teachers, researchers, members of staff, associated partners, and all RUN-EU rectors/presidents to come together in a unique multicultural and transdisciplinary in-person event to evaluate and decide the progress and direction of the RUN-EU alliance.

RUN-EU Students Week - Challenges on ‘Aspects of Wellbeing

RUN-EU student representatives and students from across the partner institutions will take part in the RUN-EU Students Week and one of four Short Advanced Programme (SAP) challenges, dealing with ‘aspects of wellbeing’. The SAP challenge themes provide students with a multidisciplinary learning environment and tools to innovate the routine of business environment by strengthening the importance of people within the economy and how their well-being status influences the future of society.

Monday 7 November will mark the beginning of the Students Week. During the day, all student participants will engage in one of the four SAP ‘Aspects of Wellbeing’ challenges and start working on their group tasks. The group work continues throughout the week.

The Students Week culminates on Friday, 11 November, in final presentations for the General Assembly audience.
