The NHL Stenden Supervisory Board has appointed Marc Otto as new chair of the Executive Board

Marc Otto joined the Executive Board at NHL Stenden on 1 August 2020 and succeeds Erica Schaper after her move to the merged hospital Frisius MC. Having received positive reactions from the University Participation Council and the Council of the University of Applied Sciences, the Supervisory Board ratified the appointment of Marc Otto on 16 October. Marc Otto will take on the role of new chair of the Executive Board from 1 January 2025.

Marc Otto spoke of his upcoming appointment: “First of all, I want to thank Erica for how well we have worked together and for everything she has done for NHL Stenden. We have achieved wonderful things and I'm looking forward to working further on our ambitions. I’m very happy the Supervisory Board has expressed its trust in me to further develop our wonderful university of applied sciences.”

Jannewietske de Vries, Supervisory Board chair: “We are extremely pleased that we can appoint Marc as successor to Erica. With his experience, management qualities and his network, we are convinced he is the right person to further lead the organisation towards its strategic ambitions.”

The process for the further configuration of the Executive Board will soon be initiated.
