Our on-campus café where you can meet up, relax, connect and join events – or organise one yourself. Farewell parties, after-event drinks, pub quizzes, brunches and lunches, it’s a great place to be with friends, study buddies, colleagues and family. Open all day from 9am to 6pm.
Handily located opposite the library and near one of the entrances to the Rengerslaan 8 building, Café IF is a great place to meet up, relax or study. Its menu includes new-fashioned dishes and classics with a twist – all based on Dutch cuisine.
Our big space for good food, the Canteen has five counters offering foods to suit all tastes, from a breakfast bar to salad bar, sandwiches to international dishes. There’s plenty of choice of food and plenty of places to sit, from high-tables to sofas to refectory tables to bistro sets. Just choose what suits you mood. The menu changes each week and keeps our hospitality students on their toes – they’re the ones that run it.
Offering good coffee and decent snacks, Central Brew is perfect whether you’re busy studying or having a break. It’s in the central hall at Rengerslaan 8 and conveniently close to lots of seating so it’s easy to pop to while you’re studying. And if a quick walk is too distracting, you can order from your table using a QR code. Your order is then delivered by the Central Brew robot – an experience in itself.

A great place to dine or meet up for drinks with friends, family or colleagues. Honest, good food from local suppliers, free from additives and full of flavour. Start your evening with drinks and nibbles in the bar then move on to your three or four course dinner in the restaurant.
Relax and enjoy a drink, a cake or satisfying lunch in a very cosy setting. With snug booths, relaxing Chesterfield sofas and comfy armchairs, Café Brandstof is a lovely setting for a pleasant break or informal meeting. Order at the counter and then take your seat; staff will bring your order to your table. So relaxed.
Ideally located in the main hall, the Espresso Bar is perfect for coffee, tea and juice – and you can really order to taste! The coffee beans are locally roasted and fair trade and if you want, decaffeinated, just ask. Plus you can choose between soya, oat and dairy milk for you cappu, latte or hot choc. And don’t forget to pick up a cake or cookie too! The students manning the bar change the specials each month.
A wide choice of fresh, healthy, homemade food, based on traditional Dutch fare but inspired by our international students. You can get your fill of sandwiches, topped yoghurts, smoothies, salads, soup and pizza plus there’s a different dish each week that you can get for your evening meal. The Food Court is surrounded by seating, including our infamous Pit where lunchtime events are regularly held. It means you could be eating your meal and find yourself enjoying a musical interlude, an inspiring lecture or student event.
