Prayer rooms

The windmill on the Leeuwarden campus is a landmark in itself with its metal blades, original frames and many windows, and it’s an inspiring setting for classes and activities on human and cultural-philosophical topics. It’s also where you’ll find our prayer rooms, offering a place to reflect, find quiet or pray. There are four prayer rooms: one set up for Christian prayer, one for Buddhist and Hindu prayer, a female Muslim prayer room and a male Muslim prayer room.

Inspiration garden in Leeuwarden

The Inspiration Garden is a place to meet, develop, learn, relax and stimulate your senses. It’s a gorgeous place to sit and enjoy your coffee, lunch or simple bask in the sun or cool off in the shade. There’s a giant chess board, various loungers, benches and high-top tables and most of the garden has been developed using recycled materials,  such as the pond formed by old cement blocks and the insect hotels made from dead trees.
