Steven de Rooij is not only an avid gamer but also a researcher and lecturer in Serious Gaming at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences.
After completing his studies in Work and Organizational Psychology, he focused on learning through simulations and the use of forced feedback cycles to enhance the effects of priming. In recent years, he developed the Serious Gaming Lemniscate, a model used to gain insights into the development and evaluation of the end-to-end serious gaming process.
His current work focuses on further developing the Lemniscate by implementing it as a methodology for students to better understand learning to learn, and to gain a deeper understanding of the entire serious gaming process. Steven plays a key role in bridging research and implementation through a process of iteration and the creative integration of both domains.
