Janneke Metselaar has been Youth Care lector at the NHL University of Applied Sciences since March 2015.
Janneke Metselaar (1974) studied Educational Science at Leiden University. After graduating, she began working for PLATO, Leiden University’s centre for research and development in education and training.
As a researcher and educational developer, Janneke contributed to youth-related projects. In 2004, she carried out PhD research into Cardea Jeugdzorg’s ‘Gezin Centraal’ programme, studying family support. Since 2008, Janneke has been a lecturer and research associate at the Orthopedagogy Department of the University of Groningen and at Elker Jeugd- en Opvoedhulp [Youth and Parenting Assistance] in Groningen.
