Bosgraaf completed the Creative Therapy programme at Stenden University of Applied Sciences in 1994 and earned her Master of Arts Therapies degree at Zuyd Hogeschool in 2012. She is currently employed at the Reik treatment centre for behavioural therapy and the mEAR orthopsychiatric outpatient clinic (i.e. concerned with the prevention and treatment of youth mental and behavioural disorders) in Leeuwarden. She is also a member of the national networking group for affect-regulating professional therapy and serves as a thesis coordinator at Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Liesbeth and another creative therapist and researcher have been conducting joint PhD research into the effects of creative therapy on long-term depression since 2013.
