German-born Sarah Seidel is a Lecturer in Tourism Management. After completing degrees in Business Administration and Tourism in Hanover, Sarah moved to the Netherlands – after a stint in Tenerife – to enrol in a Master’s degree programme. Seidel developed an interest in sustainability issues during her studies and wrote her thesis on sustainable tourism in Tenerife.

She has been a member of our Research Group since 2009, where she has the opportunity to combine her interests in research, tourism and sustainability. She carries out research projects in the tourism and recreation industries on behalf of the Department and has also been developing her own research area, ‘Sustainability in tourism’.
