At NHL Stenden, we strongly believe in the importance of internationalisation in our education and research. Our world’s increasing diversity and international character has a direct effect on the labour market, and we want our students and staff to be familiar with the intercultural and global context of their chosen field of study.
Internationalisation helps us to communicate better with people from different cultures. It teaches us valuable skills that help us understand and appreciate diverse perspectives.
Global network approach
Our global network approach means as NHL Stenden, we can offer endless international opportunities. From studying through the Grand Tour programme in South Africa, Thailand or on Bali, to going on an Exchange programme to one of our partner universities. We’re continually developing the possibilities, offering benefits to both our Dutch and our international students.
We’re also part of the Erasmus+ programmes and partner in the Regional University Network-European University (RUN-EU). This alliance helps ensure that internationalisation is more accessible, inclusive and sustainable.
Internationalisation At Home
Our international opportunities abroad are offered alongside gaining intercultural experience on our campuses in the Netherlands. Each study programme integrates internationalisation into the curriculum and both students and staff can take part in, for instance, international projects, international research, blended programmes and international lectures and guest lectures. It’s one of the ways we create international experiences for everyone.
