“One of my high school friends had just started her studies at NHL Stenden (Creative Business) and only had good things to say. When I found out they had a Tourism Management programme too, I signed up right away! The Grand Tour and internship options were big draws for me as I knew I wanted to do a minor in Bali and an internship somewhere new. Before finding an amazing internship on the platform Stepstone, I first got some help and guidance. From polishing my CV and LinkedIn profile to meetings with my study coach, I felt really supported in finding the perfect fit.”

“I’m doing my internship at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg in the Employer Branding department where I’m responsible for social medial marketing as well as event planning for career fairs that our company attends. This includes everything from start to finish – signing up for the events, reaching out to possible candidates to represent our company, booking transportation and accommodation for the attendees, and gathering feedback after the event. The internship involves a lot of organisational tasks, which I love. I interact with loads of clients and suppliers, which put me out of my comfort zone at first, but I’ve got used to it and this has definitely improved my confidence and assertiveness.”

“I appreciate how my colleagues treat me as a valuable team member and not just a coffee-getting intern. Right from the get-go, my team have been super welcoming and made me feel totally at home – it’s what makes it such a fun place to intern at! I have many responsibilities and I’m in charge of my own tasks and projects, but whenever I need help, I know I can always ask for advice and feedback, without feeling uncomfortable.”
“The internship is a great way for you to explore what you want to do in your professional life after graduation. Even if it shows you that this is not the job you want, it’s still a fantastic opportunity and learning experience. Now I’ve set my sights on doing a master’s in marketing in Hamburg. But first, it’s time for a break and to see some more of the world!”
