Dr Ian Yeoman is Professor of Disruption, Innovation & New Phenomena at Hotel Management School Leeuwarden. His research focuses on futures thinking, scenario planning and disruptive innovation in hospitality. His expertise lies in tourism futures, with a particular focus on the future of hotels, food tourism and strategic decision-making. Through his research, he connects education, practice and international collaboration, working with other research groups and disciplines both within and beyond the university of applied sciences.

As professor within the Disruption, Innovation & New Phenomena (DNIP) professorship, Ian works on future-oriented questions in hospitality and tourism. He combines trend analysis, scenario thinking and strategic analysis to explore possible developments and their impact on the sector. This includes research into how hotels and other parts of the tourism sector may evolve towards 2075.
Ian also works internationally with researchers, governments and other organisations on issues related to the future of tourism.
