The Future Starts Now
In September, the fourth annual RUN-EU General Assembly and Student Week took place, with 300 participants. The theme was "The Future Starts Now." Staff from all partner institutions discussed progress and future plans. Additionally, 130 students participated in five challenging ‘Short Advanced Programmes’ (SAP), such as 'AI for a Sustainable Future' and 'Regional Energy System – Vision 2040'. NHL Stenden student Frederick de Vries enthusiastically remarked: “RUN-EU inspires by combining learning, socialising, and international teamwork.”
Innovating Together for the Region
Associate partners, such as Innovatiepact Fryslân, play an important role within RUN-EU. Hendrikus Venema from Innovatiepact Fryslân attended the event and sees opportunities: “Together with European regions, we will work on projects such as international internships and innovation vouchers. RUN-EU shows that, despite our differences, we share the same challenges and can find solutions together.”
This largest annual event took place on the campus of Vorarlberg University in Austria. Next year, Portugal will host the event, with the University of Cavado and Ave as the host institution.
