Student Housing Leeuwarden
There are lots of different types of accommodation available in Leeuwarden and prices vary depending on room type and location. We urge you to start looking for accomodation at least 3-4 months prior to your study start. Make sure you check the rental price includes electricity, gas and wifi!
The good news is that NHL Stenden students enjoy both lower costs and more spacious accommodation than the Dutch average. This was shown in the National Student Housing Survey carried out by Kences, the national student housing knowledge centre. The survey also indicated that the accommodation offered more closely matches what students demand, whether it concerns shared accommodation, studios or apartments. Benefits of choosing StudentStay
Arranging accommodation through Student Stay makes your student life easier:
- All rooms are fully furnished and have underfloor heating. The rent covers your utilities (water, electricity, heating) and internet. All you then need to sort out is your bedding, linen, pots & pans, crockery & utensils – and the bits & bobs that will make your room your home.
- The housing is well-designed and maintained (StudentStay has its own on-site mechanic) and has secure access, making the accommodation an especially safe place to stay.
- Each housing block has a laundry room and bike shed in the basement as well as a shared living room you can book if you want to hang out with a larger group of friends. There’s even a vacuum cleaner you can use stored in the hallway on each floor.
- Living in StudentStay means you’re surrounded by other students and helps to make settling into your new life as student easier. It’s also got facilities directly on hand such as a bakery, hairdressers, temping agency and a gym, and supermarkets are just a five-minute walk away.
