After qualifying as a teacher of English and Dutch, Ms Veeneman worked for some time as a policy officer in the Central Unit for Education and Quality Care at Alfa-college. Having joined the staff of the Sustainable Innovation in the Regional Knowledge Economy Department in 2011, she is interested in the research topic of formal and informal learning and innovative expertise for lecturers, as well as in the research question of “How do lecturers learn from each other in a multi-level and multidisciplinary network in conjunction with the business community?” Ms Veeneman has been involved in a wide range of projects, including the Regional Manufacturing Partnership laboratory, which involves developing an education model (tested in practice) for long-term cooperation between vocational education institutions and the regional business community.
