Ella has a rich work experience in education and the business sector. Her main focus is on how people and organisations deal with developments and change. In 2015, she obtained her masters degree in Human and Organisational Behaviour (Begeleidingskunde) with cum laude distinction. In her research she poses the following question: how can the strengthening of the Pedagogisch Didactisch Getuigschrift (pedagogical teaching certificate, PDG) pathway for lateral entry students into intermediate vocational education be supported and improved by all actors whereby mutual learning can be deployed constructively? Which elements require attention?

Together with staff from intermediate vocational education schools in the north of the Netherlands, Ella examines and discovers that in education, in addition to knowledge and skills, the sustainability perspective, the normative professionalisation and the horizontal forms of morality are offered as well.
