As a student of Human Geography, Hanny Kadijk developed an interest in tourism, tourist destinations and the various ways in which humans interact with their environment.

After her graduation in 1992, Kadijk worked as a researcher and project manager at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, and she is currently an instructor in the Bachelor’s programme in Tourism Management and the Master’s programme in Leisure and Tourism. She has been a member of our Research Group since 2012. Kadijk has been involved in a variety of projects, all related to the factors which shape human identity. She gradually discovered just how much someone’s living environment can end up influencing their identity. In addition to this subject, she also takes an interest in issues such as integration and social tourism.
