Originally from Romania, Irina is a life-long learner who enjoys cultural diversity and is currently exploring purposeful projects in education. With a diverse academic background in Tourism Management (BBA), European Languages and Cultures (BA), Cultural Geography (MSc), and Educational Leadership (MBA in progress), she is planning on soon embarking on her PhD journey.
Irina joined NHL Stenden as a lecturer and researcher in 2019, first at the Tourism Management Bachelor and (since) then the International Business Bachelor, where she has taken up a variety of roles, from Internationalisation Coordinator to Chair of the Testing Committee. Next to this, in 2022, Irina joined as a researcher for the Design Based Education Professorship where she worked on a case study applied to the International Business Bachelor, and on the conceptual framing of a quantitative study aimed at the measurement of DBE implementation.
In the Organisations and Social Media Professorship, Irina will dedicate her time partly to research projects and writing funding proposals, and partly to the European Influencers Academy.
