Margriet Weerman, who earned degrees in Financial Management from Nyenrode Business University and Business Economics from Drenthe University of Applied Sciences, teaches Research Methods and Marketing at Stenden University of Applied Sciences, as well as chairing the Marketing Department and the Thesis Committee and being a member of the Curriculum Committee.

She joined the Sustainable Innovation in the Regional Knowledge Economy Department in 2009, with her research focusing on strategic marketing in the healthcare and leisure economy. Her research interests include the marketing of innovation and defensible competitive advantages.
