A modern engineer or maritime officer must be able to do maintenance and repairs on these systems to ensure the safety and economic performance of the ship. This course will help you to refresh your ability and understanding performing this job.

Course contents
After completion of this course, you will have sufficient knowledge and understanding of:
- Safety concerning electrical systems
- Reading electrical diagrams
- Fault finding in circuitry containing relays and PLC’s
- Measurements on electrical motors, transformers, and generators
- Droop systems for managing active and reactive power
Practical
All our courses provide practical and hands-on experience based on the knowledge and expertise of our instructors. During this course you will:
- Do fault finding practices
- Do simple PLC programming for controlling a hydraulic system
- Do measurements on electrical and controlling components
- Perform correcting actions on a power management system
