Intake
Active progress is made only when the course aligns with your current language level. Therefore, we conduct an intake assessment (written and oral) to determine your entry level.
Depending on your language level, you will be placed in one of the Cambridge English courses:
- Cambridge English B1 Preliminary: English at an intermediate level for work or study, assessing everyday spoken and written English.
- Cambridge English B2 First: English at an upper-intermediate level for work or study, assessing everyday spoken and written English.
- Cambridge English C1 Advanced: English exam at an advanced level for professional and academic use.
- Cambridge English C2 Proficiency: English for individuals who have achieved an extremely high level of English proficiency: near-native level.

Cambridge English B1 Preliminary - Tuesday 10.45 - 12.15
Cambridge English B2 First - Thursday 14.30 - 16.00
Cambridge English C1 Advanced - Tuesday 12.15 - 13.45
Cambridge English C2 Proficiency- Tuesday 09.15 - 10.45
Costs
The below costs include examination fees*. The course is exempt from VAT.
- Cambridge English B1 Preliminary: 1,475 euros
- Cambridge English B2 First: 1,562 euros
- Cambridge English C1 Advanced: 1,588 euros
- Cambridge English C2 Proficiency: 1,613 euros
* Examination fees are determined annually by the British Council. These prices are based on the information available for 2024-2025.
NHL Stenden employees
The costs of this course are covered from the central professionalization budget of MyAcademy. Registration is not optional; once registered, your participation is expected. Please consult with your team leader before registering.
The Cambridge exam will be reimbursed a maximum of 2 times through My Academy. After that, the costs of the preparation and the exam will be charged back to the department by the NHL Stenden Language Centre.
