Studieopbouw
NHL Stenden offers various trainings, masterclasses, courses, and study programs. The offerings are adjusted to current developments. The masterclass starts upon sufficient registrations.
The masterclass consists of two parts, which can be followed separately:
The morning starts with an introduction to microplastics: What are microplastics and where do they come from? What are they made of and how do we know they are present? We will explore how microplastics enter nature and where they can be generated in production processes. To detect microplastics, analysis methods are necessary. We will discuss the most recent standards and regulations applicable to micro- and nanoplastics and their connection to analytical methodologies.
In the afternoon, we delve deeper into the latest scientific insights regarding microplastics, paying attention to the toxic effects on humans and the environment. We also cover the removal of microplastics from water or production processes. Next, we provide an overview of (inter)national legislation. The day ends with a networking reception to explore further collaboration opportunities.
